CRA invests in new Wire Rope Machinery

Crane Ropes Australia has invested significantly in the future of its services with a brand new Wire Rope MRT machine.

The unit from world leading manufacturer Magnograph, located in Canada, arrived recently to complement Crane Ropes Australia’s existing range of testing units.

CRA Technical Wire Rope Specialist and one of the most experienced MRT (Magnetic Rope Testing) operators in Australia – Ben Minuzzo – is excited about the addition to the fleet. ‘I have been using Magnograph units for the past 20 years and their reliability, accuracy and ease of use are the best in its field. They are a big part in the history of wire rope safety in Australia, being used for testing on most major mines and port cranes in this country’

The technicians at Crane Ropes Australia are looking forward to putting this unit to good use on wire rope assets in all states of Australia.
